Garrett Plotkin is a Filipino/Mexican American artist and craftsman from Los Angeles, California. He loves painting, drawing, customizing shoes and clothing with his acrylic designs, creating mixed media pieces, designing handmade greeting cards, woodworking, and redesigning surfboards and skateboards with fun and bold pop styles and patterns.

 

At the age of 14, he entered his first art show and won the "Mayor's Award". In 2011, he debuted in his first professional art show in Long Beach, California with his original acrylic/spray paint canvas artwork pieces. Since then, he has been a passionate artist and has enjoyed creating and exploring the endless possibilities of the imagination and encourages others to do the same in their artistic journeys as well.

He also loves exploring new ways to express and evoke feelings through his art by experimenting with distinct techniques and various mediums. He really enjoys recycling old pairs of shoes, clothing, and diverse items from time to time by giving them artistic makeovers with care and fresh painted designs. To this day, he's actively working on more original ideas and projects varying from canvas pieces, to customized apparel, and greeting cards. With that said, no matter the type of project or medium it is, he approaches each one of them with an unwavering level of excitement, positive energy, and dedication.
